# TrueTick — Minecraft server hosting with live TPS and no overselling > Minecraft hosting built around one invariant: no hidden overselling. Guaranteed per-server CPU (enforced in code), live TPS/MSPT plus a 24-hour tick history on the dashboard for tick-capable cores (Paper, Purpur, Forge, NeoForge, plus Vanilla and Fabric from Minecraft 1.20.3; on Paper, Purpur, Vanilla and Fabric from Minecraft 1.20.3 the rate is counted off the world's own tick counter rather than inferred from tick time, while Forge, NeoForge and older Paper/Purpur report their own rate and we pass it through), and billing that is metered ($0.012 per active GB-hour, scale-to-zero — sleeping servers cost nothing) or flat ($3/GB-month). Public REST API, TypeScript SDK, CLI with a live plugin dev loop, and an MCP server. ## Product - [Home](https://truetick.gg/): what TrueTick is and how wake-on-join + metered billing work - [Pricing](https://truetick.gg/pricing): metered vs flat, price by RAM tier - [For developers](https://truetick.gg/developers): REST API, TypeScript SDK, CLI dev loop, MCP server - [Live fleet status](https://truetick.gg/status): real aggregated fleet TPS, at most 15 seconds old ## Comparisons - [TrueTick vs DatHost: a generous flat 16 GB box vs metered, scale-to-zero hosting](https://truetick.gg/compare/dathost): DatHost sells one generous 16 GB flat plan on premium hardware — a strong deal if your server runs 24/7. Here's where metered billing and a live tick number change the maths. - [TrueTick vs Godlike: a promo-gated flat price vs metered, scale-to-zero](https://truetick.gg/compare/godlike): Godlike's price rides a rotating promo, and the model is flat per slot. Here's how metered, scale-to-zero billing compares. - [TrueTick vs Hostinger: a managed metered game host vs a self-managed VPS](https://truetick.gg/compare/hostinger): Hostinger's Minecraft plan is a VPS you administer yourself, and its $6.99/mo headline is a 24-month prepayment that renews at $11.99. Here's how a managed, metered game host compares. - [TrueTick vs WiseHosting: a real tick number vs a percentage with no base](https://truetick.gg/compare/wisehosting): WiseHosting rates its plans in '% CPU Power', a number with no stated base, and its price is a 50%-off promo. Here's how a host that shows the actual tick compares. - [TrueTick vs Apex Hosting: established flat-monthly host vs metered, never-oversold hosting](https://truetick.gg/compare/apex-hosting): Apex Hosting is one of the largest Minecraft-only hosts, built on flat monthly plans and a deep support library. Here's how metered, never-oversold hosting compares. - [TrueTick vs BisectHosting: Budget/Premium flat hosting vs metered, never-oversold hosting](https://truetick.gg/compare/bisecthosting): BisectHosting splits Minecraft hosting into Budget and Premium flat-monthly tiers with a huge modpack catalog. Here's how metered, never-oversold hosting compares. - [TrueTick vs Aternos: free hosting vs never-oversold paid hosting](https://truetick.gg/compare/aternos): Aternos is free and great for trying Minecraft. Here's where free hosting hits its ceiling — and when never-oversold paid hosting is worth it. - [TrueTick vs Exaroton: two pay-as-you-go hosts, compared](https://truetick.gg/compare/exaroton): Exaroton meters by the gigabyte-hour, sleeps when empty and starts on join — so do we, and at July 2026 exchange rates their rate is lower. What actually differs: they share CPU cores by design, we don't, and we show MSPT. - [TrueTick vs Shockbyte: cheap flat hosting vs metered, never-oversold hosting](https://truetick.gg/compare/shockbyte): Shockbyte is a popular budget flat-monthly host. Here's what 'cheap' usually trades away — and how to check it on any host, including ours. ## Guides - [How to use a truetick server as a backend for an external Velocity proxy](https://truetick.gg/guides/external-velocity-proxy): Put a truetick server behind a Velocity proxy running on another host.
